What is Journalism? Who is a Journalist?

Every school has a few kids that walk around with a pen and a pad or a finger and an Ipad scribbling words they believe are profound.
That goofy clan of writing nerds are the journalists of the future. Kids write because they believe it liberates them. On a bad day they can find peace in a pen and pad knowing they can write what flows through their mind. Eventually the personally liberating experience grows into a powerful desire to liberate others. The desire to liberate and share is what makes a journalist who they are. Generally journalists possess four traits:
1. Drive: Every journalist needs a passion for life and are driven share helpful information.
2. Understanding: The ability to look at a situation and understand what messages are being sent.
3. Creativity: Capturing the minds of your readers requires creative abilities.
4. Honesty: Consumers of media must be able to trust their sources.
These attributes are what help a journalist succeed in the world of journalism. Which brings up the question what is this world of creative-clickers and trusted-typers?
Journalism is the sharing of ideas and information in a timely fashion. It could be considered the world's biggest megaphone, but instead of being broadcast through booming noise it is sent from nerd through pen, to paper, to computer, to the Internet, and onto the world. Journalism is what makes it possible for the world to be at our finger tips in this age of technology.
In short journalism is what dictates our present, resurrects the past and forms our future. You should really try to be nicer to the kid running around with the pen and pad.
